Renaissance Hotel in Aix-en-Provence and his restaurant le Comptoir du Clos1 février 2015 0 commentaire
Today we talk about the Renaissance Hotel, a five stars hotel in Aix-en-Provence (south of France, next to Marseilles) !
Opend since one year, the hotel is next to the center of town, with a great design.
The reception is 20/20 and there’s a car park just down the hotel !
Our room was so cool, with a little terrace and a nice view on Aix-en-Provence !
The bed was a big king size bed sooooo fluffy, i wish we could stayed there for a month !
Once there, you can go to the Spa, the gym, and also to the swimming pool and the Turkish bath ! You can go to the swimming pool up to 10pm but if you want, you can stay here all night long !
It was Suday, and in Aix-en-Provence it’s quite hard to find a good restaurant open on Sunday night, so we decided to stay at the hotel and we tried their restaurant « le Comptoir du Clos ». The place is very nice and as a starter we ordered the terrine de foie gras aux spéculos, marmelade de figue rôtie : mmmm ! It’s very rich and we weren’t hungry anymore ! After that, Anaïs tried the Caesar Salad and Pedro the « St Jacques snackées, étuvé de poireaux crémés aux noisettes, émulsion citronnée » : delicious !!! And for the dessert : a fantastic lemon pie 🙂
(Pedro : it’s not very expensive for a five stars hotel, and you can go to the restaurant either if you don’t sleep here !)
The next morning, we tried the breakfast at the « Comptoir du Clos » : you choose whatever you want and everything is delicious !!! (love the hotel’s breakfasts <3)
Thank you to Aurélia for this nice stay, we loved it ! And all the staff was so cool and very profesional !
You can find rooms at 150€ per night (it’s not expensive for a five stars hotel) and if you’re a Spa fan, you must try it !
